Direct pathway to U.S. permanent residency through job-creating investment
The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program provides a direct pathway to U.S. permanent residency (green card) for foreign nationals who invest substantial capital in job-creating businesses in the United States. Established by Congress in 1990, the EB-5 program is designed to stimulate the U.S. economy through capital investment and job creation by foreign investors.
Unlike E-2 or H-1B visas, EB-5 leads directly to permanent residency. After 2 years with conditional green card, you receive permanent green card with no conditions. After 5 years as permanent resident, you can apply for U.S. citizenship.
EB-5 requires investment of $800,000 (in Targeted Employment Area) or $1,050,000 (standard areas) in a new commercial enterprise that creates or preserves at least 10 full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers. Most investors choose Regional Center pathway for easier job creation compliance.
